Jeff Bridges Elevates "Crazy Heart" Beyond Its Familiar Theme
2/8/2010 9:46 AM  ET "Crazy Heart" is a good movie with a great acting performance, one that manages to encapsulate every down and out alcoholic without ever feeling too retreaded. Jeff Bridges slides into the shoes of former country star Bad Blake with ease, and he seems to be what his Jeffrey Lebowski would have been like if he had grown up on Gene Autry and straight whiskey instead of Credence Clearwater and White Russians.

"Legion": When Apocalyptic Movies Go Bad
By now it is a familiar tale: the world is about to end and a small group of good people represent mankind's last hope. It's a premise with a lot to explore, though "Legion" uses it solely as an excuse for a really big and uninspired gunfight.

So mangled is the film's theology and plot that...

A new special edition of "Casablanca" is being released as well.

Comedy "The Invention of Lying" is possibly the most noteworthy title, coming off moderate...
